Shag Lamps

The name Shag Lamps originated from my own experience.

Before I started making Shag Lamps, sometimes at night, when I was in bed before my husband, with all lights off, he would come into the room and sweetly say “Light on then darling?”.  With his lovely English accent and sweet tone of voice, I was smitten.  It was understood that the soft light to be turned on meant that we would .  .  . well. . . shag.

So when I started making these sweet lamps with gentle light bulbs, the name came easily to me.  No words are even needed at night.  Either the light is on or it’s off!
