These tea towels or kitchen towel, I really don’t know the difference between the two, have been dressed up with vintage and antique children’s cloth story book pages from the 20′s, 30′s and 40′s. The towels are 100% cotton and are called flour sack towels.
Some towels have been dyed green to bring out the 1920′s illustration more, and then carefully cut-out and hand appliqued the cloth illustration onto the towels. The old cloth story books have been well loved and used and I feel good about giving them a new life as a towel. What wonderful gifts they make!
